A number of Southampton residents have chosen to make a commemorative dedication in Good Ground Park.  The first park bench plaque was dedicated to Mickey McManus by his wife and friends on Friday August 4th at 1:00 pm following a commemorative Mass at St. Rosalie’s Church.  The McManus family chose the park bench dedication as a way to remember his love for open space and music.

The Park’s Dedication program invites participants to remember loved ones, mark significant events or demonstrate community pride by placing a plaque that can be enjoyed for years to come on park benches, light posts, trees, flowering bushes and water fountains.

The dedication application can be found on the Town’s website and checks can be sent to the Town Supervisor’s offices.  For more information log onto www.southamptontownny.gov
